Black Friday 2026 is on Friday 27 November 2026, the day after US Thanksgiving (Thursday 26 November). Cyber Monday comes next, on Monday 30 November 2026. The UK and much of Europe use the same Black Friday date.
If you’re buying something handmade and engraved that has to travel from Udaipur, the sale date isn’t the one that matters most. The date that matters is when you order. Here’s how to work it out.

Why everyone is searching for Black Friday now
In the seven days to 31 October 2026, Google Trends showed searches for “black friday” up 90% and “black friday 2026” up 70%. That’s because the big retailers announced their dates in late October, and some sales have already started:
- Walmart (announced 26 October): early deals run 12 to 15 November, Black Friday deals 23 to 29 November and Cyber Monday 30 November to 2 December, according to its official newsroom.
- Target (announced 21 October): Deal of the Day started on 1 November and runs to 24 December, and its early Black Friday sale is 5 to 7 November, according to its press release.
- Amazon still hasn’t confirmed its dates as of 2 November 2026. 9to5Toys and Slickdeals both predict its Black Friday Week will start around Thursday 19 November. That date is unconfirmed.
Adobe’s 2026 holiday forecast expects US shoppers to spend $12.9 billion online on Black Friday, up 9.2%, which is the fastest growth of any big shopping day. It expects Cyber Monday to stay the biggest single day, at $15.1 billion. These are forecasts, not final figures.
When to order handmade gifts from India for Christmas
We cut, stitch and engrave every piece by hand in our workshop near the lake. A name goes on each one, letter by letter. We’re small on purpose. That means your piece needs time to be made before it ships. Then it travels during the busiest shipping weeks of the year.
To find your order-by date, work backwards:
- Choose the date you need it. We suggest about 18 December, so you have a week to wrap it or hand it over.
- Take off the making and engraving time. You’ll find it on the product page.
- Take off the delivery time. Checkout shows the estimate for your country.
- Take off one more week. This covers holiday delays and customs checks.
| If you order on… | Days until Christmas | Our honest view |
|---|---|---|
| Before Black Friday (by 26 November) | 29 or more | The safest window, especially for engraving |
| Black Friday, 27 November | 28 | Possible. Check both estimates before you pay |
| Cyber Monday, 30 November | 25 | Tight for the US, UK, UAE and Europe |
| December | Fewer than 25 | Risky. Think about a New Year gift |
Import duties: the plain version
Your parcel crosses a border, so your country may charge duties or taxes when it arrives. The rules are different in the US, UK, UAE and EU. US rules on low-value imports changed in 2025, so even small parcels can now be charged. Check your country’s rules before you buy, so a fee doesn’t surprise you or the person you’re gifting.
Gift ideas that suit an early order
Engraved pieces take the longest, so order these first:
- A personalised leather journal with their name on the cover
- A name-engraved gift for someone who’s hard to buy for
- A leather dopp kit for the person who’s always travelling
- A leather duffel bag for weekends away
Keep an eye on our homepage for anything we’re offering this season. One more tip: shop on a store’s own website, not through links in texts. Fake “delivery problem” messages are common at this time of year.
Frequently asked questions
When is Black Friday 2026?
Black Friday 2026 is on Friday 27 November 2026, the day after US Thanksgiving on Thursday 26 November. Many retailers start earlier, though. Target's Deal of the Day began on 1 November and Walmart's early deals begin 12 November. Counting from 2 November 2026, Black Friday is 25 days away.
When is Cyber Monday 2026?
Cyber Monday 2026 is on Monday 30 November 2026. Adobe forecasts it will be the biggest online shopping day of the US season, at around $15.1 billion. Walmart's Cyber Monday event runs from 30 November to 2 December. Keep in mind that 30 November leaves only 25 days for international parcels to arrive before Christmas.
Is Black Friday 2026 on the same date in the UK?
Yes. The UK doesn't celebrate Thanksgiving, but Black Friday still falls on Friday 27 November 2026 there, and in much of Europe too. Cyber Monday is 30 November 2026. If you're ordering a handmade piece from India to the UK, plan for UK customs and the busy December post on top of the making time.
When should I order an engraved leather gift from India to arrive by Christmas?
Start from the date you need the gift in hand and work back. Take off the making and engraving time shown on the product page, then the delivery estimate at checkout. Then allow an extra week for holiday delays and customs. For most buyers that means ordering before Black Friday on 27 November 2026, not after it.
Will I pay import duties on a leather bag shipped from India?
You might. Depending on your country, duties or taxes may be charged when the parcel arrives. The rules are different in the US, UK, UAE and EU, and US rules on low-value imports changed in 2025, so small parcels can now be charged too. Check your country's current rules before you order a gift.
Has Amazon confirmed its Black Friday 2026 dates?
No. As of 2 November 2026, Amazon hasn't announced its Black Friday 2026 dates. 9to5Toys and Slickdeals both predict its Black Friday Week will start around Thursday 19 November, but that's a prediction, not a confirmed date. Check Amazon's own newsroom for the official announcement.
