For the reader who loves old libraries, choose a vintage leather book with deckle-edge paper. It looks like something from a second-hand shop in Bath, except the pages are blank and waiting for them.
3. A Folio Society special edition
The Folio Society Holiday 2026 collection has 15 editions. Prices start at $85 for The Snow Queen. Anna Karenina and the Three-Body Problem trilogy cost $235 each, and the top of the range is a limited edition of Grimms’ Fairy Tales at $580. Its homepage advertises a limited edition of The Handmaid’s Tale and The Testaments launching on 3 November 2026. We couldn’t confirm its price or edition size. One honest note: collector guides say sprayed edges look lovely on a shelf but rarely add resale value. Scarcity is what does that.
4. A leather bag that carries the library
A good reader always has a book with them. A leather daypack holds a hardback, a journal and a flask, and it softens the more it’s used.

5. A fantasy or D&D journal
Comic and fantasy fans usually draw, plot or run campaigns. A hand-tooled DnD journal gives them somewhere to keep character sheets, sketches and maps. It’s one of the few comic-adjacent gifts that won’t duplicate anything already on their shelves.
6. A deluxe edition or a graded key
For true luxury, collector guides point to deluxe or limited omnibuses and CGC-graded key issues. Check their shelves first. Don’t buy a single issue they already own in a collected edition, unless it’s a graded slab.
